The Christmas Arts & Crafts Emporium is Anchorage’s Premier Showcase for Alaskan artists and crafters to display and sell their products during the holiday season. This event has become a tradition for many Alaskan artists and crafters. Don’t miss an opportunity to participate! The 2019 Christmas Arts & Crafts Emporium had a total attendance of 15,986 people in only two days.

Christmas Arts and Crafts Emporium Mission Statement

The Christmas Arts & Crafts Emporium strives to provide the Anchorage community and its visitors with a winter holiday show featuring a large variety of Alaska made arts and crafts, sold by their creators, thereby enhancing the quality of life of Anchorage residents, visitors and vendors; to provide vendors with a low cost, premier location which affords them an opportunity to showcase and display their products to a broad base of consumers and potential customers; and add to the vitality of downtown Anchorage.

Christmas Arts & Crafts Emporium is sponsoring the 2021

Habitat for Humanity’s Gingerbread Showcase brings together professional and amateur bakers from Anchorage and highlights their creativity, while supporting the work of Habitat for Humanity Anchorage. During the Christmas Arts & Crafts Emporium, the Gingerbread creation receiving the most public votes will receive the coveted People’s Choice award. Public votes are submitted by a voluntary donation to Habitat Anchorage in three categories; Professional, Amateur and People’s Choice.  100% of all donations support Habitat’s efforts to make decent, affordable home-ownership available to local families in need.
Winners in each category will win fantastic prizes and will be announced on Sunday, November 21st at 3:00pm.

Interested in showcasing your custom made gingerbread house?

The 2019 theme was… “Elf on the Shelf!”. What does Alaska mean to you?  Its people, its buildings, its landscapes, its iconic symbols? It’s an opportunity to get creative and interpret this theme any way imaginable! Gingerbread creations are to be imagined and worked to interpret this theme freely. Both the interpretation of the theme and how clearly it is expressed will contribute towards the points awarded by the judges. . Rules and Criteria:
Christmas Arts & Crafts Emporium is a strictly handcrafted-in-Alaska event. Absolutely no imports or products made outside of Alaska are allowed to be sold in this event.
*Vendors purchasing more than one booth receive a $75 discount for each additional booth. Discount applied at check-out.
*Local nonprofit organization’s whom wish to participate in the Christmas Arts and Crafts Emporium receive about 50% off of their booth rental, providing they furnish Alaska Markets & Events, Inc. proof of their 501(c)(3) filing status. Please Email your 501(c)(3) document immediately following registration.
